Sewing Machines

This little gem was given to me by my grandmother. She used to work as a tailor at Buffums department store in Los Angeles. She told me salespeople would come to your home and demonstrate how to use a sewing machine. It does not have a bobbin so only sews a chain stitch. (the kind that is on top of a big feed bag, that if you get the right string and pull it zipps right off). This little machine still works! It is about 6 inches tall.

Sew glad see what the red Bus looks like! You speak of it during FF long arm meetings. Do you think there might be another Longarm retreat this year? It would be nice to meet in person, some of the ladies in our group. I’m always looking forward to our monthly meeting and seeing what everyone is up to lately. I love the little Singer that you’ve shared. my Grandma was a professional seamstress and used a Singer treadle machine. She had an electric machine when she taught me to sew at age 5 in 1951.

I am looking forward to seeing you in May!
